Support Island Studies Journal
Island Studies Journal is an open access publication that charges no publication or submission fees and is accessible free of charge to readers around the world. The journal is published by an independent charitable association registered in Denmark. All work that goes into editing issues of ISJ is undertaken on a voluntary basis, and the journal has no paid employees. The journal is nevertheless subject to operational and periodic expenses. For each article published, ISJ incurs around US$250 in direct expenses, in addition to the many hours of work donated by our editors.
Authors and readers are thus encouraged to make a donation to the Island Studies Journal charitable association (Tax Number: DK 42309141). Donations go to covering copyediting and typesetting, maintenance costs for this website, membership of Crossref (and thereby allocation of DOIs), and student grants. Donations are not refundable.
The recommended donation is US$150, but any amount is appreciated. Donations have no impact on the editorial process and are purely voluntary. You can make a donation using the form below or can request information for making a bank transfer. If you require an invoice, for instance to assist with institutional reimbursements, ISJ can provide this. Contact the editor (firstname.lastname@example.org) for details.
